The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.

Masala Wok & Grill a hybrid Selden eatery that billed itself as an Indo Pak style Chinese Thai grill restaurant has closed. The place, designed to appeal to students and teachers at the nearby Suffolk Community College and Stony Brook University, offered counter service on one side and had a formal dining room on the other.

The place earned one and a half stars. Some high points: spicy lemon coriander soup,  Hakka noodles, a ringer for Chinese lo mein, and kung pao potatoes, an inventive vegetarian dish.
