Nick's Tuscan Grill has relocated from Long Beach to Mineola.
The Long Beach restaurant was severely damaged by superstorm Sandy and never reopened. It takes over the former site of Andiamo on Mineola Boulevard.
But the menu at the new spot will appeal to devotees of the original.
Antipasti include baked clams, fried calamari, eggplant Parmigiana and a selection of cured meats and cheeses. There are 11 pizzettes; pastas from pappardelle Bolognese to seafood lasagna; meat courses that include osso buco, chicken Sorrentino, braised beef short ribs and Gorgonzola-crusted rib-eye steak; and seafood such as grilled whole branzino, blackened swordfish and baked stuffed shrimp.
The price range for appetizers is $7 to $15; pizzettes, $11 to $14; pastas, $15 to $21; main courses, $18 to $30.
