The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.
The little counter-serve eatery once known as Nader’s Fish on the Run and, later, Nader’s Food on the Run, has been reborn as Jeff’s Surf & Turf. Manager Jack Flanagan, who stays on from the site’s former incarnations, said it is now under the same ownership as Jeff’s Seafood of Halesite. Nader Gebrin, who owns Bravo Nader in Huntington, is no longer affiliated.
But chef Will Argueta remains from earlier. His new menu pretty much resembles the previous one, but there have been additions and subtractions. Gone is fried chicken. Now on the menu: Jeff’s stuffed burger ($9.95), filled with the cheese of your choice; a Philly cheesesteak ($8.95); crab and corn chowder ($5.95 small, $6.95 large); and a surf and turf plate ($25) wherein you choose between skirt steak or ribs and, also lobster tail or shrimp.
Jeff’s Surf & Turf is at 217 New York Ave., Huntington, 631-423-6300.
