New to the ever-changing mix of restaurants and bars in Rockville Centre is Parlay Gastropub, which takes over the former digs of McFaddens.
Manager Matthew Allgauer described the place as having walls made of brick and both the floors and the bar made of cement. The chef, Victor Chicas, formerly cooked at Social Sports Kitchen in Uniondale. His repertoire features such items as mussels, pork sliders, flatbreads and short ribs, with prices that range from $8 to $14 for appetizers and $21 to $27 for entrees. There are 40 brews on tap.
Weeknights have themes like flatbread flights on Tuesday and wing night on Wednesday. On Sundays, theres brunch. And, most nights, a late-night bar and music scene, with acoustic performers some evenings and DJs others.
