Bistro 44 is back, under new management and sporting a livelier menu.

The New American eatery offers some eclectic choices. Early on, better ones include cashew-crusted fried oysters, Korean-style barbecued short ribs with pickled daikon, a tasty spin on a Creamsicle, and the "coffee and cigar" dessert, with a chocolate cigar perched on an ashtray, which holds a coffee-and-caramel flavored spin on creme brulee.

Bistro 44 is open six days, currently closed on Monday.
