Sag Harbor finally has the frozen yogurt it deserves. Housed in a historic Main Street building, a spacious branch of Montauk's Buddha Berry opened here Friday, offering a dozen all-natural yogurt, sorbet, and gelato flavors.
Founder Nancy Passaretti's original focus was on lightly sweetened yogurts and superfood toppings including ground flax and chia seeds. But if your idea of dessert doesn't include hemp hearts, don't worry. She has added bins of gummy worms, mini M & Ms, and many more candy toppings to the mix.
Everything is self-serve, but there's only one size cup — large — and it's hard to resist filling it to the top. Another option: order a freshly baked Belgian waffle and then swirl on the yogurt of your choice. Coffee and espresso drinks as well as smoothies and frozen yogurt shakes round out the offerings.
