The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.

If you’re not planning to hit Little Italy's Feast of Sen Gennaro this year, the next best thing might be Cafe Joelle's annual homage to the festival in Sayville.

From Sept. 16 to Sept. 26, the restaurant’s tables will be covered with red checkered cloths, the sound system will play Italian music and the menu will feature traditional Italian specialties. Choices include a classic rice ball stuffed with “chopmeat” and mozzarella for $9.95, "Mama Buitroni’s" meat ragu (sausage, meatballs and pork ribs braised in tomato sauce) over rigatoni for $18.95 and steak pizzaiola for $25.

There are wine specials, as well, such as a bottle of Notorious Nero d’Avola at $25.
