There's spring in the step and on the menu at the Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport.

New chef Lia Fallon, formerly of Amarelle in Wading River, has fashioned a delicious seasonal menu at the landmark house.

From delectable spring vegetables, fine as a side order or with asta for a genuinely local primavera, to an asparagus-ricotta-and-olive flatbread, lobster-and-shrimp fritters, crisp duck rolls and diver scallops with creamed ramps, the retooled restaurant is worth visiting as soon as you can.

It's open for dinner Thursday to Sunday and for brunch Saturday and Sunday.
