Half-price discounts on some major bottles highlight the "winter wine tour" at Prime in Huntington and Tellers: An American Chophouse in Islip from March 11 to 16.
The restaurants also will offer a $50 prix fixe menu during the vinous week.
The Prime menu includes main dishes such as filet mignon, Scottish salmon, pan-roasted chicken and pan-seared Long Island duck breast. At Tellers, main courses include filet mignon Wellington, crisp-skinned salmon, roasted chicken and a surf-and-turf of filet mignon and lobster tail.
Notable wines at Prime include the 2006 Giacomo Conterno Barolo "Cascina Francia" for $138, down from $235; 2005 Chateau Haut-Brion at $865, down from $1,730; and the 2000 Harlan Estate, at $577, discounted from $1,154.
The Tellers list includes Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon, Pacific Northwest wines, and, at the very high end, $893 for 2005 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, down from $1,785.
