Singing chef Richard Desmond is no longer belting out arias from the kitchen of Fargiano’s Pizza & Pasta in East Islip. The multitalented tenor said he’s taking a bit of a break from the stove.
Still, he said, he continues to do consulting work for the little pizzeria-trattoria.
Owner Chris Fargiano, who has always been in charge of the eatery's regular menu, said he regularly collaborates with Desmond on specials and desserts. Right now, he said, he’s featuring a Desmond special of braised prime short rib in a red wine reduction ($20.95) as well as chocolate peanut butter mousse cake with ganache icing ($6).
