The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.
Curiouser and curiouser is the menu for an “Alice in Wonderland” beer dinner to be held at Morrison’s in Plainview on Monday, April 20.
The five-course meal begins with an amuse-bouche of little rosemary-thyme cookies imprinted with the words "Eat Me." Then comes chef Josh Vanderborg's first “chapter,” titled “Tweedledum & Tweedledee,” featuring both ravioli-stuffed mushroom and mushroom-stuffed ravioli. There's also “A Mad Tea Party,” a course involving tea sandwiches. It's followed by “Pig & Pepper,” or chili-rubbed pork with heirloom potatoes and smoked pepper. And so forth. Each course is paired with a different beer from the Port Jeff Brewing Co.
The cost of the event is $55 a person, or $70.74 with tax and tip. Reservations are required.
Morrison’s is at 430 Woodbury Rd., Plainview, 516-932-8460.
