Its a banner week for Newsdays dining section. Peter Gianotti bestows a rare four stars on Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton, the newest venture for Tom Colicchio of Top Chef and Craft restaurants fame. Colicchio and his chef de cuisine Ty Kotz make Topping Rose House locavore central with monthly menus that highlight East End purveyors and farms, as well as the restaurants own cultivated acre.
