The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.

Tre Sorelle which, in Italian means “three sisters,” is the name of the new restaurant owned by siblings Summer Butindari, Lauren Butindara and Lia Jorquera. Although none is in the kitchen cooking, all three collaborated with chef Pedro Campos, who uses their Italian family recipes.

The place, which used to be a printing shop, was redesigned and rebuilt by their father, a contractor. There’s a pizza counter with four tables in the front and, in the back, 13 tables and full service.

On the menu: an individual Margherita pizza ($9.95), eggplant rollatini ($8.95), a bowl of little neck clams with garlic, oil and lemon  ($14.95), pappardelle Bolognese ($12.95) and chicken Parmigiana ($15.95).
