Another waterfront restaurant has rebounded and rebuilt in the wake of superstorm Sandy. VIEW in Oakdale just reopened following a major repair and restoration. The dining spot is known not only for its New American food but also for its outdoor dining and nautical vistas.

Starting Tuesday, the place will be open at both lunch and dinner but, until May 6, will be closed Mondays. On April 5, from 7 to 9 p.m., VIEW will host a grand reopening party with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
