The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.

If a seder at home just isn't an option this year, how about a kosher-style (but not kosher) dinner out?  Here are two places to break unleavened bread:

Maxxels in Mineola is featuring a $29.95 three-course Passover prix-fixe March 29 to April 2. Among choices are an appetizer of gefilte fish, an entree of braised brisket and, for dessert, a Passover jelly roll. Maxxels is at 526 Jericho Tpke., Mineola, 516-294-3604, maxxels.com.

In Glen Head, Bistro M will serve a six-course meal, at $48, March 29 and 30. Dinner begins with chopped liver and haroseth, followed by gefilte fish, matzo ball soup and a choice of entree, like sweet and sour brisket. Dessert may be a flourless chocolate cake. Bistro M is at 70 Glen Head Rd., Glen Head, 516-671-2498, bistromrestaurant.com.
