While the popular "The Sea Around Us" exhibition of 19th and 20th century waterscapes continues in the museum's main galleries, don't overlook "Currents" in the upstairs Contemporary Gallery at the Nassau County Museum of Art.

The show features three artists:

- Sculptor Jessica Jackson Hutchins, whose work was included in the 2010 Whitney Biennial in Manhattan.

- Benjamin Edwards, who works in oil, acrylics and digital inkjet, reflects on contemporary society with hallucinatory imagery.

- Tom Sanford paints vibrant representations of pop icons.
