It's not every night you can catch a mother-son cabaret act.

Pianist Bill Charlap accompanies his singer-mom, Sandy Stewart, in an evening of jazz standards. Stewart is the widow of Broadway composer Morris "Moose" Charlap, Bill's dad, who died in 1974. To support herself and her family, Stewart resumed her singing career, first by recording advertising jingles. Now she sings with her son in their quest to make familiar songs sound new again.
