Ship's Inn has been docked in Northport for a decade. The spot keeps to a nautical theme. It's popular for pasta night (Monday) and prime rib night (Wednesday). And the weekend breakfast is good. Portions are ample and prices are moderate. Although diving into the seafood would seem to make sense, you're generally better off with the landlubber cuisine: chopped sirloin with onions, filet mignon au poivre, broiled shell steak. If you're inclined toward pasta, they have meaty lasagna, baked ziti with eggplanty and housemade manicotti. Broiled salmon with honey mustard-dill sauce, broiled sea scallops and broiled sole take the lead in the seafood competition. The place is friendly, the service good and easygoing local.
