Thinking about making a short getaway this summer but don't know where to go? Before you head out on the highway, take a quick detour on the information superhighway.

Hauppauge Public Library is holding a free "Planning Day Trips on the Internet" seminar Monday, 3:30-5 p.m. Computer experts from SeniorNet (seniornet.org) will guide you on how to find local museums, concerts, theater events and gardening shows. And because sometimes a day trip simply means a getaway from the kitchen, there will be a lesson on how to find restaurants, especially ones that offer discounts.

The seminar is open to all, but adults 50 and older will find the lessons especially useful and tailored for them.
