Have you ever looked at a picture or painting of food and said it looks good enough to eat? Here's a way to create artwork that really is good enough to eat.
Painting With Chocolate at the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum (www.cshwhalingmuseum.org) will teach you how to create a masterpiece -- or at least an original edible creation -- using melted dark and white chocolates. Brushes and chocolate will be provided. Your creation could make a sweet addition to your dessert table or be the crowning glory on a holiday cake, assuming someone doesn't gobble it up as soon as you get it home.
The event, part of the Senior Days partnership among several Long Island museums and institutions, is open to anyone 62 and older. Admission is $4.
Painting With Chocolate is Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Call 631-367-3418, ext. 10.
