This was Ryan Rielly's team. For Glenn to win its first Long Island football championship, he would have to play a huge role. He did, amassing 306 all-purpose yards, rushing for three touchdowns and throwing for another.

In 1996, the CHSFL changed its format. It went from AAA, AA, A champ to a separate (A) tournament champ and championship tournament. Championship tournaments are the bigger CHSAA schools and an A champ are the smaller CHSAA schools. In 1997, the CHSFL changed the format to an A championship (bigger schools) and a B championship (smaller schools).
