Alexis Pilkington was a popular athlete from West Islip who had already landed a soccer scholarship to college.

Alexis Pilkington mourned

Alexis Pilkington, 17, of West Islip, was a star athlete at West Islip Senior High School. She graduated early and was preparing to start college with a soccer scholarship. But on March 21, 2010, Pilkington ended her own life in her family's home, said her father.
