Army surgeon killed Christmas Day in Iraq
A Pennsylvania trauma surgeon who was attached to a Queens-based Army medical unit, and who had written achingly of having to tell families of crime victims that their loved ones had died, was killed Christmas Day in Iraq, the Department of Defense said.
Dr. John P. Pryor, 42, of Moorestown, N.J., died when a mortar round struck near his living quarters in Mosul, according to published reports....
