Town of Islip officials and members of the NYPD gathered in Islip to dedicate a portion of Bay Shore's roadways in memory of NYPD Det. Patrick Rafferty, who was killed Sept. 10, 2004. Rafferty and his partner were shot while trying to arrest a suspect; both cops were posthumously awarded the NYPDs Medal of Honor. Videojournalist: Network News (Nov. 23, 2013)
