An LIRR spokeswoman said the vehicle was stuck on the Willis Avenue crossing Sunday evening, and police requested that power to the rails be turned off as they attempted to remove the vehicle.
Shortly after 7 p.m., the vehicle was removed and service resumed, though "residual delays" were expected, said LIRR spokeswoman Marjorie Anders.
