2 arrested in Wantagh burglary

A man and woman from West Babylon were arrested and charged with burglary on Saturday in the theft of items from a Wantagh home this past month, Nassau police said.

On Oct. 23, a 76-year-old woman found that a window in her Pine Street home had been forced open, and she was missing cash and credit cards, police said.

Frank Corsetti Jr., 35, and Lorraine Cianciulli, 38, both of 1042 Little East Neck Rd., were arrested at 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Police said they had used one of the victim's credit cards to charge more than $300 in Suffolk County.

Both Corsetti and Cianciulli were charged with second-degree forgery, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree identity theft. Corsetti was also charged with second-degree burglary and additional counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree identity theft.

Cianciulli was arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead and ordered held on $5,000 bond or cash bail. She is due back in court on Wednesday.

Corsetti was admitted on Sunday to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for an undisclosed reason. Court officials were attempting to arrange for a bedside arraignment on Sunday.
