Cops: Searingtown man charged with mother's murder
The estranged wife of the founder of 1800mattress.com was found dead yesterday morning at her Searingtown home, and her son was charged with murder, the company and Nassau police said.
A family employee found Kay Barragan, 65, at the bottom of a flight of stairs when he arrived for work shortly after 7 a.m., a statement from the Long Island City-based company said.
