Cops seek 3 in W. Hempstead knifepoint robbery

A man was robbed at knifepoint outside a bar in West Hempstead early Sunday, Nassau police said.

The victim, 41, was in the back parking lot of El Catracho Restaurant & Bar, 78 Hempstead Tpke. at 1:51 a.m. when he was approached by three men, police said.

One of the men displayed a silver knife while another man took about $80 and an iPhone from the victim. The three then left and were seen walking west on Hempstead Turnpike. The victim was not injured.

The man with the knife was described as about 30 years old, 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with black hair. He was wearing beige cargo shorts and a black shirt. The second man was described as about 30 years old, 5-feet, 5-inches tall, wearing blue jeans and a light shirt. The third man was described as about 30 years old, wearing blue jeans and white sneakers.
