A Middle Island man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated early Saturday after he crashed his pickup truck on a Farmingville street, Suffolk County police said.

Matthew Davis, 24, was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 when the truck struck a pole, two parked vehicles and a tree before coming to a rest on the front lawn of a home on North Ocean Avenue near Horseblock Road, a police spokeswoman said.

The road was closed for about four hours after the crash, the spokeswoman said.

A photo taken at the scene shows a white truck with rear and roof damage, its back tires on the lawn and front tires on the road. Another damaged truck can be seen in the driveway of the home along with jumbled wires strewn across the road.

Davis, who police said was not injured, went before a judge at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, court records show. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content at .08 or higher in the first degree, operating a motor vehilce while intoxicated in the first degree, driving without a license and aggrivated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree, records show.

Davis was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on April 25, records show.
