Nassau police said they are searching for two men in connection with the slashing of a woman’s face Sunday afternoon in her Elmont apartment.

Fourth Squad detectives said at about 2:30 p.m., two men entered the woman’s second-floor apartment on Louis Avenue through the front door. Once inside, one of the men lunged at the victim with a sharp item and struck her face.

The woman, who was in her bedroom at the time, yelled, police said, prompting the two men to flee, heading north on Louis Avenue.

The woman, 40, was treated at a hospital for the injuries to her face.
