Freeport teen charged in BB gun shooting
A Freeport teen who shot a 15-year-old boy in the head with a BB gun was arrested Thursday and charged with assault, police said.
Trevon Thompson, 16, was also charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.
Thompson shot the victim on Pine Street in Freeport on March 8, sending the boy to the hospital with a cut to his head, detectives said. He was treated and released.
