Good Samaritan foils robbery try in Hicksville
Armed with a knife, Bryan J. Weixler approached a 17-year-old on South Oyster Bay Road in Hicksville on Sunday and demanded his money, police said.
A witness grabbed the knife-wielding Weixler from behind, disarmed him and held him until two off-duty New York City police officers could step in and detain him until Nassau County Police arrived on scene, authorities said.
