Man charged in robbery of East Northport market

An East Northport man walked into a supermarket Sunday, took money from the cash register, threatened an employee with a knife - and ended up in jail, police said Monday.

Alan Lepre, 46, of 546 5th St., was arrested about a half-hour after he robbed the Grower's Market supermarket on Larkfield Road, Suffolk police said.
