The move comes after a masked robber slashed an employee at the 7-Eleven at 758 Old Bethpage Rd. with a knife early Sunday, police said.

The robber left the store with an undetermined amount of cash after cutting the 25-year-old male store clerk on the neck and both arms, police said. The victim was treated at a hospital and released.

The suspect ran away north on Old Bethpage Road, police said. He was described as wearing a mask, gloves and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
