A Wantagh man has been charged with firing shots into the door of a garage in his neighborhood last month, Nassau County police said.

The victim did not see the bullet holes in the garage on Sarah Drive until Monday, then found out that another neighbor had made a video of a man firing a handgun at the garage on July 14, police said.

Detectives went to the home of Rocko Fox, 20, on Helene Street on Monday and he consented to a search of his house, police said.

Police said they found a safe inside the house that had been stolen in a burglary on July 13 from a home on Knoll Lane in Levittown.

There were two semi-automatic weapons inside the safe when it was stolen, but they were not recovered, police said.

Fox was charged with burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal mischief, police said.

He was awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

An attorney, Kristin Marie Galison of Mineola, who represents Fox on another open criminal case in the same court, said she does not represent him on the latest charges.
