A Queens man was arrested Thursday and charged with drug possession after police said he was stopped in Floral Park with dozens of bags of cocaine — and more than 100 glassine bags of heroin.
Tyuan S. Parham, 36, of 159th Street, Jamaica, was charged with nine counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He faces arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Nassau police said Parham was already under investigation by detectives from the Nassau/Suffolk Heroin Task Force for “unlawfully possessing and selling heroin in the month of March.”
Officers, including members of Bureau of Special Operations, stopped the 1998 Lexus he was driving in Floral Park at 5:07 p.m. Thursday and discovered the drugs, police said.
It was not immediately clear whether Parham was represented by counsel.
