A Bronx man headed to the Dominican Republic was arrested Friday at Kennedy Airport after Transportation Safety Administration officers discovered more than two dozen stun guns in his checked bag, authorities said.

A TSA spokeswoman said Port Authority police arrested the man after agents discovered 26 stun guns in the bag. Stun guns are illegal to possess in New York, officials said.

Arrested was Felix Pena, 27, who was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, officials said Monday. The charge is a misdemeanor. Arraignment details were not available.

Officials could not immediately say what airline Pena was booked on -- or at which terminal the arrest occurred.

The stun guns, in boxes inside a suitcase, were discovered during a routine scan of checked luggage, officials said.
