Two men robbed a Woodmere couple at gunpoint, searching their car and home Saturday morning, police said.

A 73-year-old man was parking his car in his garage on Park Court about 9:30 a.m. when the two men ordered him to put his hands in the air and held a gun to his head, Nassau County police said in a news release.

The two men searched the man’s car and told him to empty his pockets. The robbers stole a cellphone, cash and a black briefcase with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

One of the gunmen entered the victim’s home, going upstairs where he pointed a handgun at a 71-year-old woman and demanded cash, police said. The woman told him she didn’t have any money and both men left in a black Honda SUV. The car was seen speeding west on Rosedale Road. Neither the man or the woman was hurt, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
