Delays on three LIRR branches
A broken rail on a Long Island Rail Road track in New Hyde Park is causing 10- to 15-minute delays on the Ronkonkoma, Oyster Bay and Port Jefferson branches Thursday morning.
Railroad spokesman Rich Mendelson said "more than a dozen" trains have been affected so far. He said the rail will likely be fixed before 10 a.m.
