A Bellmore man was charged with drunken driving Saturday night after the car he was driving went through a fence and into a house on St. Marks Avenue, Nassau County police said.

Police said Matthew Knee, 30, and a 51-year-old male passenger were stuck inside a 2000 Lincoln damaged by the collision when officers arrived at the accident scene at 9:50 p.m.

Rescuers from the Bellmore Fire Department and a Nassau County police emergency service unit extricated the two men and took them to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
