Students at Miller Place High School in the Miller Place School District will learn to play wheelchair basketball from Jason Soricelli, a professional Wheelchair Basketball Players for the New York Knicks. Jason is bringing 10 wheelchairs with him and each of the teens will have an opportunity to learn to navigate the chair for everyday tasks and then play wheelchair basketball.

Jason Soricelli grew up in Centereach and was an All-American track star and state champion. Six year ago he was injured in a dirt bike accident and was told he would never walk again. With his positive attitude and perseverance, he found a way not just to survive but to thrive.
