Dave Girard's original Riverhead seafood restaurant was an outgrowth of the fish market that shares the premises; the new Westhampton location is larger, with a proper bar. Both Buoys boast a reasonably priced menu with plenty of inventive, international touches, but don't pass up the bucket of steamers, some of Long Island's best.
Hours: Same menu all day, Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
