Ex-Beatle Stuart Sutcliffe
Stuart Sutcliffe, sometimes called “The Lost Beatle,“ was an original member of the iconic rock and roll band. He left the group in 1961 while they were living and performing in Hamburg, Germany, to pursue a career as a painter, but died a few months later. His sister, who lives on Long Island's East End, says she is putting some of his artwork and letters up for auction to mark the 50th anniversary of his death and to better “scatter” the artifacts in the world.
