Lia Fallon, chef at Amarelle restaurant in Wading River, is slated to prepare dinner on March 7 at the James Beard House in Manhattan.
The cost is $130 for James Beard Foundation members, $170 to the general public. The foundation, named for the author and gourmand, is a culinary center and oversees the annual James Beard Awards.
Fallon, whose New American eatery earned a two-and-one-half star rating from Newsday, will offer a five-course meal.
The menu includes Long Island clam chowder, local cod cakes, braised rabbit, blackened buffalo hanger steak, and a chocolate marquise.
Each course will be paired with wine, four from Long Island producers. They include the 2007 Lenz Gewurztraminer, 2011 Palmer Sauvignon Blanc, 2007 Clovis Point Vintner's Select Merlot, and the 2010 Duck Walk Blueberry Port.
The James Beard House is at 167 W. 12th St. in Greenwich Village. For reservations, call 212-627-2308.
