Hundreds of Suffolk workers protest potential layoffs
Shouting "Union strong, Levy wrong," several hundred county employees rallied at the Legislature Tuesday, protesting the widespread job cuts proposed by County Executive Steve Levy.
"I'm not going to have a gun held to our members heads with threats of layoffs," said Cheryl Felice, the president of the Suffolk County Association of Municipal Employees, the county's largest labor union.
