4 Hurt in Melville crash
The Melville Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision that resulted in four injuries Wednesday morning on Old Country Road and Wolf Hill Road.The crash involved a PT Cruiser and a Toyota Camry. Melville firefighters used the "Jaws of Life" to
remove a passenger-side door on the Camry and free the occupants. Two males and two females were taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment. Three ambulances, a heavy rescue truck, and fire police were on the scene with 20 firefighters and EMS personnel, under the direction of Melville Fire Chief James Harrison. An additional ambulance assisted from the Dix Hills Fire Department, with Second Assistant Chief Tom Magno.
