Auction for Northport Historical
The photo “Sunrise on Halong Bay” by Herb Knopp, an award-winning local photographer, is one item up for auction.
The Northport Historical Society & Museum is hosting an auction fundraiser at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main St., Northport, on Sat., Oct. 17.
In addition to a live country auction featuring artwork, antiques and collectibles, there will be a Chinese auction for themed baskets and other items. Wine and cheese will be served and musical entertainment will be provided by Princess Peapod, a lively acoustic duo.
“Many local businesses and individuals have already been exceedingly generous \[with auction donations\],” said Elise Pearlman, a member of the historical society.
An hourlong preview of the auction items begins at 6 p.m. Entertainment will start around 7 p.m. with the live auction following shortly thereafter.
Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers. Seating is limited and early reservation is recommended. For tickets, call the museum at 631-757-9859.
