Book signing and business seminar from Huntington author

Long Island author and Certified Public Accountant Mark Mayoka will be signing copies of his new book, “Financial Crisis Planning for Small Business: Winning Today’s Battle for Business Survival”  at The Book Revue in Huntington on Monday at 7 p.m.

The Huntington author will also host a free seminar on Financial Crisis Planning for Small Business at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The first five attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Mayoka’s book.

Mayoka has a long career as a certified public accountant and business analyst, and he has a law degree from Pace Law School.  As a noted columnist, Mark writes his own financial advice monthly column in "Cabling Business Magazine" to help their subscribers cope with everyday businesses issues during the ups and downs of the current economic recession.

Mayoka has documented his financial Crisis Planning Strategies for small businesses in a detailed, concise, yet easy to follow new book, “Financial Crisis Planning for Small Business: Winning Today’s Battle for Business Survival,”  (Two Harbor Press, 2009).

In order to survive the financial crisis it is imperative that all small businesses develop and maintain a mission statement as part of an overall financial crisis plan. Whether your business is in a crisis or not a financial crisis plan is an absolute necessity for the day when your business is in crisis.  The most important part of this financial crisis plan is the mission statement to emphasize the need for the company to focus on three separate initiatives directly related to risk management, cash flow and the customer.

Mayoka’s approach is to call small businesses into battle during times of financial crisis.  “My approach to crisis analysis and optimizing solutions has for years been my passion, my calling, if you will,” states Mayoka.  “You don’t have to fight the battle alone,” he explains.  In his book Mayoka will show you what WAR is good for: detecting Weaknesses, making Assessments, and deciding which Risks are worth taking.  Along with the Six Core Strategies, you’ll learn how to reduce operating cost, enhance profitability, keep vendors and customers happy, maintain a positive cash flow, and much more from a seasoned veteran on the frontlines of economic combat.  A workbook, designed by Mayoka, for his clients, is also included to guide you through the implementation of those Management Strategies.

“Financial Crisis Planning for Small Business: Winning Today’s Battle for Business Survival”  is available at The Book Revue, 313 New York Avenue in Huntington.  For more information about Mayoka’s free seminar, call 631-427-5148.
