Burglary loot up for review
In an attempt to return items to rightful owners, Suffolk detectives are inviting victims of recent burglaries – including some in Dix Hills, and Commack – to view property that has been recovered during recent investigations.Fourth Squad Detectives say they believe these proceeds were taken during residential burglaries between May and August in Lake Ronkonkoma, Lake Grove, Farmingville, Holbrook, Holtsville, Commack, Kings Park, Hauppauge and Dix Hills.
In a statement released Tuesday, they wrote: “Anyone whose home has been burglarized recently and wishes to view the property, which includes jewelry and electronics, can view the items at the Fourth Precinct, located at 345 Old Willets Path in Smithtown, on September 22 between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on September 25 between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. Anyone who would like to make an appointment to view these items is asked to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.”
