House fire in Asharoken
The Northport Fire Department responded to an early morning blaze that damaged a home at 2 Beach Plum Drive in Asharoken on Tuesday.
The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, which was reported to authorities at 5:20 a.m. by an automatic fire alarm. Northport firefighters and Asharoken Police arrived to find a working fire with flames coming from the roof. Mutual aid was requested...
